Today, I’m sharing my positive review on witch hazel, a wonderful natural plant-based skincare toner that I highly recommend to balance your oily skin.

How to use witch hazel facial toner in your night time skincare routine?
Step 1
Exfoliate your face: If you wore make up during the day, the smartest start to your skincare routine is to begin with a natural exfoliating scrub (Natural exfoliants include salt, coffee, and sugar bases). The exfoliants help dig out majority of the makeup, oil, sweat, dirt, and debris in your skin.
Step 2
Wash your face: After exfoliating, cleanse your face with a gently gel-based or foam based cleansers. This cleanser is meant to help remove excess makeup and dirt and also removes any remaining exfoliator pieces.
Step 3
Pat your face: Using a clean dry towel (preferably a towel specific used for your facial skincare), lightly pat your face from excess water HOWEVER do not completely dry your skin. You want to leave some water to assist your skin with hydration, so dry your skin about 85%.
Step 4
Tone with witch hazel: After cleansing, use a cotton pad to apply witch hazel toner to your face. Slowly and gently wipe the pad or ball over your face.
Step 5
If you’re going to bed immediately after, WAIT. Allow the witch hazel to sit on your skin for a couple of minutes, this will allow the witch hazel to work its magic and will help to remove any remaining impurities.
Note: You can use witch hazel as a spot treatment or all over the face, but be aware that it can dry the skin, specially if you have dry or sensitive skin. You may want to use it less frequently or in lower concentrations. Always patch test before applying all over the face.
